I just received order OANB18002 for a case of 12 Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Salt Free / Unsweetened.
The “best if used by” date on the product in 03/29/24. I am concerned I will not be able to consume the product before the best by date based on my last order of 12 jars in October 0f 2023. The “Best Buy” date on that shipment was 8/23/24 (and I still have almost two jars left)
I have been buying from Once Again since April 2020 and have never been shipped product so close to being expired. Was this an oversight??
Hi John, this isn't an oversight. We have a certain cut off point for what we will ship, and while this is right on the cusp of that, it is still within what we send out - otherwise we would be putting thousands of pounds of perfectly edible nut butter in the dumpster every single week. If the date is a problem for you you are welcome to return the order for a refund.
If I return the order I assume the shipping cost? Based on your policy I assume it makes no sense to work out an exchange as I would just get shipped another nearly expired product.
Yes, you would be responsible for shipping. We are still finishing up the 3/29 inventory and in another week that will be either gone or off the shelf. If you want to process a return for it, send back what you don't want, then re-order in a week or so it should be fine by then. We have to sell it in order though and I can't make exceptions on that for what are likely obvious reasons - we'd just be throwing food out all day if everyone could get the freshest jars available. Let me know how you want to handle it.
My shipping cost is too high and the hassle isn’t worth it to me.I guess you guys win by unloading your end of year production run product, protecting your bottom line. Congratulations on that!
As a consumer I have many choices and I will choose to spend somewhere else. I will certainly share my poor customer experience with friends and family. Once Again now has one less customer.
We love OANB products. The ESOP truly works here as all employees I have met are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! The nut butters are all so flavorful and they take pride in sustainability! I highly recommend OANB!
I have eaten your peanut butter for over 30 years. I generally order it by the case or sometimes by the tub and refill my own containers. But last order I received my friend in North Carolina said how much she missed not having it when she was here in Florida with me. So I boxed up a one pound container for her. She received it and is quite happy. I won't eat peanut butter again if you stop making it. Yours is the best

Each 2 tablespoons serving of peanut butter provides:
Protein. Peanut butter contains about 7 to 8 grams of plant-based protein per 2-tbsp serving. This counts toward the recommended dietary allowances (RDA) for women of 46 grams and 56 grams for men, which varies by age and activity level.
Magnesium. With about 57 milligrams of magnesium, each serving helps towards the RDA of 400–420 mg in men and 310–320 in women. Magnesium is essential for health, playing a role in over 300 chemical processes in the body.
Phosphorous. Each serving contains about 107 milligrams of phosphorus, which is about 15.3 percent of the RDA of 700mg for adults. Phosphorus helps the body to build healthy cells and bones and helps cells to produce energy.
Zinc. A serving of peanut butter provides about 0.8 mg of zinc. This is 7.7 percent of the recommended daily intake of 11 mg for men, and 10.6 percent of the RDA of 8 mg for women. Zinc is necessary for immunity, protein synthesis, and DNA formation.
Niacin. Peanut butter contains 4.21 mg of niacin per serving, which makes a useful contribution towards a person’s recommended intake of 14 to 16 mg. Niacin benefits digestion and nerve function and helps produce energy.
Vitamin B-6. With 0.17 g of vitamin B-6 per serving, peanut butter provides almost 14 percent of an adult’s RDA of 1.3 mg. Vitamin B-6 plays a role in over 100 enzyme reactions in the body and may be necessary for heart and immune system health.
Fiber. A serving of peanut butter provides 2 grams of fiber, contributing to the daily recommended of 25 to 30 grams. Fiber is beneficial in weight management, decreasing risk for diabetes type 2 and coronary artery disease by lowering cholesterol levels.
