Once Again Nut Butter
Halwa is a type of sweet dessert found in many varieties across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe. It is most often made with a nut or seed butter base, usually tahini.
Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped seedless watermelon
- 1/2 cup frozen banana slices
- 1/2 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp packed cilantro leaves
-
1 tbsp of Once Again Tahini
- 1 tsp Once Again Dawes Hill Killer Bee Pure Raw Organic Honey
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 generous pinch ground cardamom
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth.
- Serve immediately in a chilled glass.
Recipe Note
Note: It is important to use frozen bananas in this recipe since there is no added ice. The watermelon provides lots of liquid so adding ice will result in a thin smoothie. Keep a bag of frozen banana slices on hand for quick and creamy smoothies. *Vegetarian *Gluten Free
