FAQ

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF NATURAL?

At Once Again Nut Butter, we consider the term "natural" to mean that our products are made without preservatives, additives, artificial flavors or colors.

WHAT DOES “ORGANIC” MEAN?

Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations.  Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation.  Before a product can be labeled "organic," a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards.  Companies that handle or process organic food must be certified, too. Once Again Nut Butter is certified by Oregon Tilth and USDA.

ARE ALL ONCE AGAIN NUT BUTTER PRODUCTS KOSHER

Yes, all of our products are Kosher/Parve not for Passover.  We are certified by  Va’ad Hakashrus of Buffalo-- BVK.

ARE ALL ONCE AGAIN NUT BUTTER PRODUCTS GLUTEN FREE?

Yes all Once Again Nut Butter products are gluten free.

WHY DOES THE OIL SEPARATE?

Oil separation is a natural result of making nut butters without adding any stabilizers. If the oil has separated, simply stir our products prior to enjoying them.

DO I NEED TO REFRIGERATE ONCE AGAIN NUT BUTTER PRODUCTS

Refrigeration is not necessary if product is going to be consumed within 6 weeks after opening, however refrigeration will slow down the oil separation and prolong freshness.

IS ONCE AGAIN NUT BUTTER ORGANIC RAW ALMOND BUTTER REALLY RAW?

Currently there is no FDA regulation for raw nut butters. Our “Raw”  organic almond butter is minimally processed. We try to produce our raw almond butter with as little heat as possible, but during the grinding process temperatures can reach up to 170 degrees.

I’M ALLERGIC TO PEANUTS; CAN I EAT YOUR OTHER NUT BUTTERS?

All of our products are produced in the same facility, however we do have a dedicated peanut butter room. Once Again Nut Butter has a strict allergen program that employs thorough cleaning between products and segregation of all allergens in storage. Even with these measures, there is always the possibility of cross contamination. We would not recommend eating our nut butters if you have a serious peanut allergy.
