Company History: Once Again Nut Butter was founded by Jeremy Thaler and Constance Potter, in 1976, as a worker cooperative. We were founded with the goal of providing the natural products industry with a tasty, healthy, and nutritious peanut butter. After more than thirty years our focus remains the same and we have earned the reputation as a manufacturer of one of the best tasting and most consistent nut butters in the industry.
In 1981, Once Again Nut Butter purchased and renovated a turn of the century industrial building first used for silk production.
Once Again is one of the largest employers in a village of just over 1,300 people located in Nunda, NY, south of Rochester.
Once Again was instrumental in developing the organic peanut growing standards in the United States. We were the first company in the nation to introduce Organic Valencia Peanut Butter in 1989 and we subsidized the organic peanut crop for its first 5 years.
As Once Again Nut Butter has continued to grow over the years, we have significantly expanded our product line. We are very excited about the newest addition to our product line –Omega-3 Butters made with Organic Flax Seed Oil. Products are available in Organic Peanut Butter, Organic Almond Butter and Natural Almond Butter.
Our product lines include: Dawes Hill Honey, bulk nuts, organic and natural peanut butters, organic and natural almond butters, organic and natural cashew butters, organic and natural tahini, organic sunflower butter also our popular Organic American Classic Peanut Butter, the first certified organic peanut butter that does not have any oil separation.
Products are available in sizes from 16 oz jars to bulk drums. We also offer organic bulk peanuts, cashews, and almonds that are available either dry or oil roasted. And don’t forget the wildly popular tamari almonds! For your convenience we provide a wide variety of nuts in a handy 12 oz. re-sealable bag.
Our Dawes Hill Honey products are raw and natural in choices of clover, wildflower and honeycreme available in 1 Lb containers.
Once Again Nut Butter/Dawes Hill is a worker-owned cooperative located in a small rural community in upstate Western New York. We are a company owned by its employees; therefore, you can be assured that extra care and consideration is taken into bringing you the freshest and highest quality products possible. Our employees insure that you will enjoy a wonderfully rich tasting product that is produced with integrity.
We started as a small three person co-operative in a 800 square foot basement. There we produced a few thousand pounds of healthier peanut butter a year. Now we produce millions of pounds of several kinds of organic nut butters, roasted nuts and bottled varietal honeys by our 30 member/owners in our modern 45,000 square foot facility.
We pride ourselves on providing you, the health conscious consumer, with products of superior quality and reliability. We are also dedicated to supporting organic and sustainable farming practices. We are proud to offer healthier organic and natural nut butters as well as a line of natural, locally sourced and produced honey products under the brand name, Dawes Hill Honey.
